Eisenhower Center

The Eisenhower Center is a fantastic charity in Milwaukee, and we are proud to showcase them as the first charity on WisCharities.com. As stated on their homepage,

Eisenhower Center, Inc. is a non-profit, innovative work-training program that provides a comprehensive array of rehabilitation services for people with developmental disabilities. We have eighty participants that attend our program daily to work on sub-contract jobs including assembly and packaging jobs. Most of our participants are severely disabled and need assistance with personal cares and feeding. Adaptive equipment is fabricated to assist our participants with their production jobs.

The Eisenhower Center helps adults with Cerebral Palsy and other developmental disabilities in the Milwaukee area. Some of the services offered by the Eisenhower Center include educational services as well as therapy services. This idea that disabled people can work and can be very productive is fantastic. The Eisenhower Center works with local businesses. This contract work they do includes many things, such as heat shrinking products, sorting, hand assembly, kit building, and precision weighing. By utilizing a strict measure of quality control, the Eisenhower Center can compete with other companies for business.
